How is the engagement structured commercially?+
Permanent placements are typically contingent, invoiced on the candidate's start date. Leadership mandates are retained, with fees staged across the engagement. Rates vary by level and region and are confirmed in writing before any work begins.
What protection is there if a placement does not work out?+
Permanent placements carry a replacement guarantee. Where a candidate leaves or is exited within the agreed period, we conduct the search again without further fee. The period is agreed per engagement and stated in the terms of business.
What is a realistic timeline for a senior engineering search?+
A first shortlist within a week is normal for most software and AI mandates. Time to offer depends substantially on interview capacity on your side; in our experience, searches extend because of scheduling far more often than because of candidate availability.
Do you require exclusivity?+
Not as a condition. Exclusive engagements receive greater dedicated capacity and we will recommend them where the mandate warrants it. Where a search is already with several firms and we do not believe we can add materially to it, we will say so rather than accept the brief.
